Azerbaijani athlete clinches victory in European championship

The European Weightlifting Championships are being held in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Azerbaijani athlete Dadash Dadashbeyli (109 kg) took to the arena on the next day of the European Weightlifting Championships, azerisport.com reports. He won three gold medals with a total of 388 kg (176 kg + 212 kg).

It should be noted that Azerbaijan entered nine athletes in the competition and Dadashbeyli was the only one who managed to win a medal.

It is worth remembering that weightlifters gain qualification points for the 2024 Olympics at the European Championship.
