Azerbaijani chess player grabs gold at Eindhoven Olympiad

The World Youth Chess Olympiad has ended in Eindhoven (Netherlands).

Report informs that Azerbaijan's national team was represented by Read Samadov, Hagan Ahmad, Jahandar Azadaliyev, and Narmin Abdinova at the Olympiad, in which 63 teams from 47 countries participated.

Our team took 12th place in the Olympiad. Read Samedov was awarded a gold medal as the best player who scored 8 points in 9 games on the first board.

The national anthem of Azerbaijan was played in honour of the winner at the awarding ceremony.
