Azerbaijani culture shines in Tallinn during National Culture Days
The capital of Estonia, Tallinn, has hosted the Day of Azerbaijani Culture on the sidelines of the Days of National Cultures, an event that marked the rich heritage and traditions of Azerbaijan.
Organized at the historic House of the Brotherhood of Blackheads, the event was spearheaded by artist Rovshan Guliyev and supported by the Integration Fund, the Department of Culture and Sports, and the Azerbaijani Diaspora Committee, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The evening featured a captivating performance by special guest Mubariz Aliyev, who travelled from Baku to enchant the audience with melodies played on the traditional Azerbaijani instrument, the saz. Additional performances included folkloric pieces by musician Elnur Imanov, as well as dynamic presentations by the dance group.
A highlight of the evening was the Estonian group “Leesikad,” which showcased traditional Estonian national dances, emphasizing the friendship and cultural diversity shared between the two nations.
The event attracted a large audience, including esteemed guests who expressed gratitude for the supportive cultural dialogue and friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Estonia. International guests from Germany and Finland further enriched the celebration, adding a global dimension to the festivities.
Attendees were treated to an array of traditional Azerbaijani dishes, sweets, pomegranate juice, and wine, allowing them to savor the flavours of Azerbaijani cuisine while enjoying a vibrant evening of cultural exchange. The event not only highlighted the beauty of Azerbaijani culture but also fostered connections and appreciation among diverse communities.
