Azerbaijani defence minister oversees live-fire tactical exercises PHOTO

Senior officials from the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan have inspected live-fire tactical exercises conducted at a military unit, according to the ministry.

Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov was briefed on the structure and objectives of the exercises, including their stages and execution procedures, according to a statement cited by Caliber.Az.

The drills, carried out in line with this year’s training programme, are aimed at improving commanders’ decision-making skills under a revised operational concept aligned with modern combat methods. They also focus on strengthening coordination between units and enhancing both theoretical knowledge and practical performance among personnel.

The Ministry of Defence said senior leadership assessed the tactical actions of participating units positively, describing their overall combat readiness as high.
