Azerbaijani goalkeeper eyes to leave Polish FC

Azerbaijani goalkeeper Shahin Zakiyev has said that he intends to leave the Polish Sokol Ostroda football club.

“I will not stay at Sokol Ostroda. Frankly speaking, the football club offered me a new contract. However, I want to play in a higher league. Here the teams ranking below the 8th position drop down to the 5th league while we finished the championship by ranking 13th,” Zakiyev told azerisport.com.

“I am currently in Poland. I received several proposals. I will start the next season in a new team and this is reality,” Zakiyev said.
