Azerbaijani leader extends invitation to Pakistani PM for COP29

Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif received Mukhtar Babayev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, COP29 President-designate.

During the meeting, Babayev presented Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif with an official invitation from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to attend the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), per Azertag.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation and congratulating Baku on being chosen as the venue for COP29, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif conveyed his eagerness to participate in the significant global gathering. He also assured Babayev of Pakistan's full support to Azerbaijan in all matters concerning COP29. In response, Babayev thanked the Prime Minister for Azerbaijan's backing during the event's preparations.
