Azerbaijani presidential aide slams pro-Armenian US congressman’s biased accusations

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev has responded to the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee on social network X (formerly Twitter).

“Instead of answering serious corruption allegations, Congressman Bob Menendez lies to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee with false information and fake pictures. The person presented in the picture died of cancer. Armenians themselves are ashamed to use this naked lie any longer after providing substantial criminal-medical evidence. This kind of lobbyism, ‘moneytalkism’, sheer lie and racist hate against Azerbaijanis and others undermine the image and global reputation of the United States Congress. On September 12, Menendez shared a publication on X condemning Azerbaijan for conducting an alleged “atrocities campaign”, on which he wrote: “The Aliyev government in Azerbaijan is carrying out a campaign of heinous atrocities. Now is the time to step up and protect this vulnerable population.”
