AzTV hits Iran again "Azerbaijan has its own red lines" / VIDEO
"Not every country is happy about Azerbaijan's success. And the absurd games begin: feeding Armenia, demanding status for the Armenian population of Karabakh, transferring its obsolete weapons to Yerevan, and hurriedly constructing a consulate in Gafan... Naturally, we are talking about our southern neighbour, the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has not stopped threatening Azerbaijan lately."
Rovshan Mammadov, the head of the state Azerbaijan Television (AzTV), spoke about this in a program on the TV channel on October 30, according to Caliber.Az.
He noted if official Tehran unequivocally hints that Azerbaijan should not dig its own grave, then it should know that Azerbaijan has had a very successful experience of burying its enemies deeper into the grave, as it clearly demonstrated in the autumn of 2020 during the victorious Patriotic War.
Mammadov presented footage in the programme, very ironically showing the pomposity and inefficiency of the Iranian armed forces.
"For Azerbaijan, the red lines are disrespect for our people, our national values, an attempt to humiliate our country under the guise of feeling the status of a 'strong power', encouragement of terrorism and revanchism in Armenia and attempts to prevent the establishment of peace between Baku and Yerevan. Do not cross these lines, Iran, think carefully! And don't forget that in the soul, in the minds of this people there is pain from the Turkmenchay and Gulustan treaties, which separated brother from brother, dividing the once-unified Azerbaijani people. But we have been enduring, we have been enduring for two centuries for the sake of peace and development in the region. We tolerate... Iran's attacks on our country cause both a smile and bitter regret," Mammadov stressed.
He noted that military adventures do not solve problems in the world.
"Azerbaijan has never wanted war and does not want it today. But Iran knows what Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people are capable of. Rather than talking to Azerbaijan in the language of threats, it is better to let Tehran remember its support for various terrorist groups in the region, pedalling the Shiite factor and drawing the card of the Shiite-Sunni confrontation, which leads to conflicts with neighbours. He will remember his global ban on people receiving independent information from foreign media and social networks, about the lawlessness committed by the morality police, about the widespread protests caused by this, which began on September 13 in Tehran and then swept the whole country. They have already become the largest in the history of Iran.
Rather than patronise Yerevan and solve its problems, it is better to take care of our people's needs!", Mammadov said.
Speaking about the Iranian consulate in Gafan, he sarcastically urged Iranians to at least wait for the building to be painted.
"Why were you in such a hurry to open a consulate? Is it not to try to hurt Baku? Shame on you! Those who have a common faith with us must show it in practice, they will not turn a blind eye to the Armenian shelling of Azerbaijani cities, and the killing of civilians, and innocent children! This vandalism continues – the mines laid by the Armenians continue to reap a bloody harvest. Why are the Iranian authorities silent about this, pretending that they don't see anything? Why don't they notice Armenia's war crimes?" the presenter asked.
In addition, the TV channel discussed the issue of Iran conducting exercises on the border with Azerbaijan, aimed at supporting Yerevan, and the hopes of Armenians for Iranian weapons.
