The State Civil Aviation Agency under the Digital Development and Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan has already begun preparations for the event, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Funding for the event will follow the November 4, 2008, Cabinet of Ministers decision on the “Rules for allocating and spending state budget funds for organizing international and national events by state-funded organizations, as well as for hosting and servicing foreign delegations and officials.”
Funding for the event will take into account the November 4, 2008, Cabinet of Ministers’ decision on the “Rules for allocating and spending state budget funds by state-funded organizations for organizing international and national events, as well as for receiving and providing services to foreign delegations and officials.”
ICAO is a specialised agency of the United Nations, established to administer the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention) signed in 1944.
It officially came into existence on April 4, 1947, when enough states ratified the Convention, and its headquarters are located in Montreal, Canada.
ICAO brings together 193 Member States to develop and adopt international Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and policies that ensure global civil aviation is safe, efficient, secure, economically sustainable, and environmentally responsible.
Beyond standard‑setting, ICAO coordinates technical cooperation and capacity-building among states, oversees air navigation planning, audits civil aviation oversight capabilities, and supports global efforts for aviation safety and sustainability.
