Belarus voices solidarity with Azerbaijan amid Iran's drone attacks
Belarusian Defence Minister Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin contacted his Azerbaijani counterpart Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, in a phone call to discuss recent security developments.
The two officials focused on the drone attacks launched from Iranian territory targeting Nakhchivan International Airport and other civilian infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence.
Khrenin stressed that Belarus “strongly condemns such attacks” and reaffirmed Minsk’s readiness to provide necessary support to Azerbaijan.
The conversation also encompassed broader topics, including military and defence-technical cooperation, regional security, and other issues of mutual interest, reflecting the close ties between the two countries.
