bp Vice President to hold series of meetings in Baku
Gordon Birrell, bp's Executive Vice President of Upstream and Operations, is in Baku for a three-day visit.
The purpose of the visit is to participate in the events held within the framework of the Baku Energy Week, the largest and most important event of the year in the energy sector in Azerbaijan, bp told APA.
Within the program of the visit, Gordon also plans to have business meetings with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf.
These meetings will discuss issues related to the progress of bp's business around the world, as well as in the region, the current state of work carried out within the framework of the energy projects that the company is the executor of, bp's purposeful activities in support of the energy transition in Azerbaijan.
As part of the visit, Birrell will also hold meetings with bp's regional management and visit the Bibi Heybat construction and installation site to conduct final test work on the upper modules of the ACE platform, which is currently ready to go to sea.
