Construction of customs office at Armenia-Türkiye border nears completion
The construction of a customs checkpoint in the village of Margara on the Armenian-Turkish border is nearly over, the Armenian State Revenue Committee (SRC) said in response to Sputnik Armenia's enquiry.
In late October, Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope for the implementation of the agreements reached by the special representatives of Armenia and Türkiye at the talks. He recalled that this agreement concerns the opening of the border for third-country citizens and holders of diplomatic passports. Pashinyan also informed about the re-equipment of the Margara checkpoint.
"The works planned by the design and calculation documents are coming to an end. The building and constructions necessary for customs control and supervision procedures have been erected," the SRC said.
Now works on internal finishing, installation of engineering communications and landscaping are underway.
