Dagestan's deputy interior minister detained
Dagestan Deputy Interior Minister Rufat Ismailov has been detained by law enforcers and searches are being conducted at his home, TASS reports citing a source in the power structures of the republic.
Searches are also taking place at his workplace. The reason for the detention is still unknown.
We shall remind you that on October 29 mass riots broke out at Makhachkala airport due to a regular flight from Tel Aviv, which arrived in Dagestan amid the aggravation of the situation in the Middle East. Hundreds of people entered the airport building and the airfield. Law enforcement officers later managed to drive them out. According to the latest data, more than 20 people, including police officers, were injured as a result of the incident. More than 200 people were detained after the incident.
On November 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that those who provoked the events in Dagestan wanted to rock the Russian Federation from within.
