DOST Agency centre to open in Shusha by late 2022
A branch of the DOST Agency (Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Security) will open by late 2022 in Shusha that was liberated from Armenia's occupation during the 44-day war in 2020.
DOST Agency Board Chairman Farid Mammadov told reporters about this, according to APA.
He noted that by the end of the year it is planned to open other branches as well.
"A regional office will open in Barda, and by the end of the year several thousand volunteers will be provided with work," Mammadov said.
The DOST Agency was established by presidential order in 2018 to improve employment, social protection, and labour governance.
In March 2019, the first agency centre opened in Baku's Yasamal district.
DOST centres are set up to provide employment services, labour, social protection, and guarantees, as well as other services in line with the Labour and Social Security Ministry's activities.
The DOST Agency's mission is to improve the welfare of the population, increase public care for vulnerable groups, and achieve this goal through the use of innovative solutions.
