Drone assault on Russia's Volgograd causes damage to homes and warehouse
Four residential buildings in different areas of Volgograd were struck by drones operated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, regional authorities reported on November 29.
According to Governor Andrey Bocharov, who posted the information on his Telegram channel, air defence forces successfully intercepted an attack on civilian infrastructure in the region earlier in the morning.
The governor stated that a warehouse storing construction materials was damaged, and one person was injured but declined hospitalisation. In addition to the warehouse, residential buildings were also affected, with windows broken by debris. Firefighters are currently working at the sites to manage the aftermath.
Preliminary reports indicate that another individual was injured on Nevskaya Street. They received medical assistance on-site, and hospitalisation was not required.
Governor Bocharov has ordered a thorough assessment of all damage and instructed authorities to prepare temporary accommodation facilities for residents if needed.
Earlier, the media reported that a fire broke out at the Afipsky Oil Refinery in the Seversky district of Russia's Krasnodar Krai following a drone strike attributed to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
