Erdogan invites Putin to Türkiye during SCO summit in Astana VIDEO
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed a bold economic ambition during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Astana.
Erdogan stated Türkiye's aspiration to elevate bilateral trade turnover with Russia to $100 billion, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
He underscored the substantial potential and mutual interests that could facilitate achieving this goal.
President Erdogan also discussed ongoing negotiations concerning the construction of the Sinop nuclear power plant in Türkiye, expressing optimism about making significant progress in this area. He emphasized the strategic importance of enhancing energy cooperation between Türkiye and Russia.
In a gesture of diplomatic engagement, Erdogan formally invited President Putin to visit Türkiye, an invitation that Putin graciously accepted.
