First international social services conference wraps up in Azerbaijan

The first international social services conference in Azerbaijan titled “DOST 2023: A Single Platform for Providing Flexible, Innovative and Sustainable Services” has wrapped up at the Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku.

The event was held at the initiative of the DOST Agency under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the DOST Agency, Report informs.

Some 50 foreign and 110 local guests, as well as representatives of 40 international organisations, attended the conference.

The purpose of the conference is to bring together local and international experts to assess the prospects of rapid development in the field of social services, to determine the future development paths by applying innovative approaches and modern technologies.

Also, bringing together existing experiences on a single platform, defining trends, formulating global goals, increasing the level of recognition of the DOST concept on a local and global scale, benefiting from positive and negative experiences, bringing to the agenda successful projects and activities of the DOST Agency, as well as about DOST services.

The main target group includes people working in state institutions, private sector and international organisations, diplomatic missions, as well as those studying and working in higher education institutions.
