Georgia to soon submit completed questionnaire to EC
“On Monday, the Georgian government will hand over to the European Commission (EC) the first part of the completed questionnaire, which was submitted to us for processing.”
A meeting of the Government Commission on European Integration was held today under the chairmanship of the prime minister of Georgia, at which this issue was discussed, 1tv.ge quotes the Georgian Foreign Minister, Ilia Darchiashvili, as saying.
The first part of the questionnaire was prepared by all government departments with very active participation, a lot of work has been done, and the Georgian government will hand over the first part of the questionnaire to the commission on Monday, which was submitted to us for processing, Darchiashvili said.
According to him, a very important process of reforms has taken place in the country in recent years, Georgia is well-prepared for this questionnaire.
“Our traveled path enables us to say that Georgia is well-prepared for this questionnaire. All government departments, all sub-departments actively participated, and our expectations are optimistic. With regard to publicity, we had no obligation to do so publicly, however, due to high interest, we ourselves made part of the questionnaire publicly available. As for the answers, there are answers here, the disclosure of which is undesirable and inappropriate, therefore, in the public part, we will confine ourselves to the questionnaire only,” Darchiashvili said.
