Ghukasyan admits Armenia's role in financing "budget" of self-styled regime in Karabakh
Arkadi Ghukasyan, the accused in an ongoing trial at the Baku Military Court, has admitted that the "budget" of the self-styled regime in Karabakh was primarily funded by Armenia.
Ghukasyan stated that the funds allocated by Armenia for the "budget" of the self-styled regime were referred to as "loans," but these "loans" were interest-free and had no repayment terms, Caliber.Az reports via Azertag..
"At that time, they were called 'interest-free loans.' That is, there was no issue of repaying the loans in the near future. Additionally, customs matters related to the 'exports' and 'imports' from Karabakh were carried out in Armenia. The funds collected in the State Customs Service of Armenia related to the 'imports' and 'exports' from Karabakh were also included in the 'interest-free loans,'" he added.
The accused further explained that the income from the sale of "Karabakh products" abroad, through Armenia, was less than the funds allocated by Armenia under the name of a "loan" to the "budget" of the self-styled regime.
He stated that he had no information regarding the markings on "Karabakh products" exported through Armenian customs, which indicated the country of origin.
To recap, the trial of Armenian citizens, who are charged with committing crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, including preparing and conducting aggressive war, genocide, violating the laws and customs of war, terrorism, financing terrorism, seizing power by force, and many other crimes, continues as a result of Armenia's military aggression.
