Global Firepower ranks Azerbaijani Army strongest in South Caucasus

The Azerbaijani Army ranks 57th among 145 countries in the Global Firepower ranking and the first in the South Caucasus.

Upon compiling the rating, such indicators as the number of military units and personnel, defence spending, the number of combat arsenal units, and 60 other factors affecting the combat capability of the army were taken into account, Azertag reports, citing globalfirepower.com.

The top five of the ranking included the US, Russia, China, India and the UK. Türkiye ranks 11th, Uzbekistan - 62nd, Kazakhstan - 63rd, Turkmenistan - 82nd, and Kyrgyzstan - 107th.

According to the rating, the army of Pakistan is in 7th place, Ukraine – in 15th, Iran – in 17th, Israel – in 18th, Georgia – in 85th, and Armenia – in 94th place.
