ICRC raises fate of Armenia-captured Azerbaijani soldier in bilateral dialogue with relevant authorities
As previously reported, on the morning of February 28, Panahov Ruslan Eldeniz oglu, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, lost his way due to adverse weather conditions while on the move between positions in the territory of the Lachin district.
There is still no information about the conditions of our soldier's detention in Armenia, Oxu.Az reports.
In response to a media request, International Committee of the Red Cross spokeswoman Ilaha Huseynova said: "We are aware of this issue and we are engaged in a confidential bilateral dialogue with the relevant authorities. In accordance with its mandate, the ICRC visits detainees to monitor their treatment and conditions of detention, as well as contact with their families."
It should be recalled that Ruslan Panahov, detained in Armenia, was previously charged with "attempted sabotage, illegal storage of weapons and ammunition, attempted murder on grounds of racial and religious intolerance".
