Iran prepares missiles for potential response amid escalating US threats
In response to mounting threats from US President Donald Trump, Iran has reportedly readied missiles capable of targeting US-related positions across the region.
A significant number of these missiles are positioned in underground facilities strategically located throughout the country, designed to withstand potential airstrikes and ensure readiness in the event of military escalation, Caliber.Az reports citing Iranian media.
The tension between the two nations has intensified following repeated declarations from President Trump, who has warned of military action if Tehran does not agree to a new nuclear agreement on terms favorable to the US. Since his inauguration in January, Trump has made clear that he would use force to compel Iran to make significant concessions, including the complete dismantling of its nuclear program, severing ties with regional resistance groups, and scaling back its missile and drone capabilities.
Iran, however, has consistently refused to negotiate under what it views as coercive conditions. Iranian officials have stated their preparedness to respond decisively to any military aggression, signaling a potential escalation in the already fraught relationship between the two countries.
The situation remains tense as both sides appear locked in a standoff over key issues, with the prospect of direct conflict increasingly looming in the background.
