Iranian leader seeks stronger partnership with Türkiye across multiple sectors

On October 29, 2025, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian sent a message congratulating Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the people of Türkiye on their Independence Day.

In his message, Pezeshkian highlighted the significance of deepening bilateral cooperation to promote regional stability and development, Iranian media reported.

Pezeshkian emphasised that enhancing relations between Iran and Türkiye has become increasingly important under the current circumstances.

He noted that expanding cooperation between the two nations would contribute not only to the stability, security, and development of each country but also to that of the wider region.

Referring to the long-standing historical ties and numerous commonalities between the peoples of Iran and Türkiye, Pezeshkian expressed hope that through joint efforts and ongoing consultations, relations between the two countries would grow and strengthen across economic, political, cultural, and international arenas.
