Iranian media: IRGC officer among nine killed in Aligudarz
An officer of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has been killed following strikes carried out by the United States and Israel on the Iranian city of Aligudarz, according to Iranian media reports.
The report, published by Tasnim News Agency and citing the city’s governor, states that a total of nine people have been killed in the city since the beginning of the war as a result of the strikes.
Among the dead is Seyed Ebrahim Mousavian, a colonel in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who is described as the most recent casualty in Aligudarz since the start of the conflict.
The report also lists several other individuals killed in the strikes: Shekh Hossein Jahangiri, who was buried in the village of Gandomine; Sajjad Ahmadi from Tehran; Amir Hossein Karimi from Tehran; Mohammad Jafar Bayat from Pakdasht; Ruhollah Sarlak from Malard; Morteza Mohebbi from Ahvaz; and Mohammad Sadegh Ramezani from Tehran.
According to the report, Mousavian was among those killed in Aligudarz following the strikes, which Iranian officials say have caused multiple casualties in the city since the conflict began.
