Kazakhstan extends fuel export ban through May 2027
Kazakhstan will extend its ban on exports of gasoline and diesel fuel until May 2027, the country's Ministry of Energy announced.
The restrictions will remain in force for fuel shipments leaving the country, including exports to fellow member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.
The ministry also plans to maintain the existing ban on the export of several petroleum products beyond the customs territory of the EAEU. The list includes light distillates, aviation kerosene, diesel fuel, gasoil, toluene, xylene, and petroleum bitumen.
The measures are intended to keep the current export restrictions in place through May 2027, covering both fuel and a range of refined petroleum products.
