Major oil refinery comes under attack in Russia’s Ufa city PHOTO / VIDEO
Monitoring channels reported an attack on an oil refinery in Ufa, Russia, located approximately 1,500 kilometres from Ukraine.
The city is home to two major oil-processing facilities — Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim and Bashneft-Novoil. Both refineries were previously targeted in an attack on June 25.
Subsequent reports suggested that Ukraine’s Defence Forces used Liutyi drones to strike the Cherkasy Linear Production Dispatch Station (LPDS), one of the key facilities of the Transneft-Ural oil transportation system, which handles the transfer of crude oil and petroleum products.

The station is connected to major oil pipelines, including TON-1, TON-2, TON-3, and Ust-Balyk–Kurgan–Ufa–Almetyevsk, through which crude oil from Western Siberia is transported to refineries in Bashkortostan and Tatarstan.
The LPDS also facilitates the shipment of refined petroleum products from Bashkir refineries through the Ufa–Western Direction, Ufa–Kambarka, and Ufa–Omsk pipelines to western and eastern regions of Russia. Any disruption to the station’s operations could affect oil and fuel supply logistics across several strategic routes.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) said it had carried out a strike on the Dzhankoy air base in Crimea. According to the agency, the attack destroyed repeaters used for Russian Orion drones, as well as warehouses containing weapons and military equipment.
