Minister: bp and Nobel Energy to build solar plants in East Zangezur

Azerbaijani Energy Minister Perviz Shahbazov has stated that two solar power plants will soon be built in East Zangezur with the cooperation of bp and Nobel Energy.

"In addition to solar-wind power plants with a capacity of 1,000 MW with an investment cost of about $1 billion, the foundations of two more solar power plants will soon be laid in East Zangezur with the participation of BP and Nobel Energy," Shahbazov said at an energy forum in Baku on June 5, according to Caliber.Az.

He also noted that during COP29, the results of the first auction for the 100 MW Gobustan solar power plant will be announced.
