Moscow flags concerns over US-Ukraine peace plan revisions
Moscow has yet to review the revised versions of the United States’ plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov told local media.
According to Ushakov, Russia needs to assess what modifications were made to the US “documents” on a peaceful settlement following Washington’s consultations with Kyiv and the European Union.
He cautioned that several elements of the US-adjusted peace plan, revised after discussions with Ukraine, may be unacceptable to Moscow. “We have not yet seen the updated drafts of the American settlement proposals,” Ushakov stressed.
Ushakov also suggested that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy might view holding elections as a pretext to push for a temporary ceasefire, reflecting ongoing strategic calculations amid the conflict.
