Mother of Armenian soldier outraged by the lawlessness pervading Armenian army
Journalist Gayane Zargaryan continues to spread information about the abuse of soldiers in military units of the Armenian Defence Ministry.
According to Caliber.Az, Gayane Zargaryan shared on her Facebook page another video interview with the mother of a soldier who was drafted into the Armenian army for only 5 days and was brutally beaten in a military unit stationed in Gafan.
"My son with a broken arm was immediately placed in the psychiatric department of the military hospital of the RA Ministry of Defence," the soldier's mother told the journalist.
The woman emphasised that her son does not need to take any medication, but he is still being stuffed with drugs.
"When I asked why my son is forced to take pills, the nurse replied that she was just doing her job. I demand from them to stop giving my son any medication. It is my son's commanders who needs medical treatment because they cannot treat soldiers normally. Are they deliberately trying to drive my son to suicide? Do they want to make my son look crazy? Are they doing this to save Colonel Garik Muradyan's hide, the commander of the recruits in Gafan?
I sent my son to the army absolutely healthy, and five days after the draft he ends up in a psychiatric ward. My son is constantly sedated. Is this the army? - It's a mess!"
