Nearly half billion tons of Azerbaijani oil reach overseas markets on BTC pipeline

In its sixteenth year of operation, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline continues to be a vital route for transporting Azerbaijani oil to overseas markets.

Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov revealed on July 13 the volume of the crude that has been pumped through the pipeline in a Twitter publication, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the minister, a total of about 518 million tons of oil, of which 463 million tons belonged to Azerbaijan, have been transported on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline since 2006.
