Passengers film damage after emergency return of Azur Air plane video
An aircraft operated by Azur Air was forced to return to its departure airport shortly after takeoff while operating flight ZF-2620 from Fukuoka to Kazan following an engine incident reported by passengers.
According to eyewitness accounts cited by the Telegram channel Baza, several loud bangs were heard moments after takeoff, accompanied by flashes of fire coming from one of the aircraft’s engines. After the incident, the crew decided not to continue the flight and initiated a return.
Passengers said the aircraft circled above the island for about 50 minutes before landing safely back at the Vietnamese departure airport. No injuries were reported.
After landing, passengers filmed what they described as damage to the left landing gear. According to those on board, the wheels appeared punctured, and smoke was visible coming from them.
The aircraft has been taken out of service for a technical inspection, while passengers remain at the airport awaiting further information regarding their onward departure.
