Rome hosts meeting of Italy's Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis
The meeting of the Coordination Council of the Azerbaijanis of Italy was held in Rome.
According to Report, the event provided information on the projects and programs of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Azerbaijanis living in Italy.
The committee kept in constant contact with the Azerbaijanis living abroad and the diaspora organisations established by them.
The participants of the event were also informed about a summer camp to be organised in Azerbaijan. It was noted that the camp will be organised in Nakhchivan due to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, and guests from 45 countries will take part in it. All expenses of the participants, including tickets, will be covered by the committee.
It was also noted that, in the near future, Azerbaijani language courses will be held for children of Azerbaijanis residing in Italy at weekends. A room at the embassy will be provided for that purpose, but if necessary, a special place can be allocated for the classes.
Then Azerbaijani Ambassador to Italy Rashad Aslanov and head of the Azerbaijan-Italy Association Farid Abbasov answered questions from the participants.
