Rosatom chief, Turkish energy minister discuss Akkuyu NPP

The Turkish energy minister held a meeting with Rosatom's Director General to discuss the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant and the launch of the first reactor.

Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez visited the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant construction site in Mersin, Vesti Kavkaza reports, citing the ministry press service.

In addition, Donmez held a meeting with Rosatom's Director General Alexei Likhachev in narrow and extended formats. The parties discussed the construction of a nuclear power plant and the launch of the first reactor.

During the research, it was found that the plant, which is currently under construction, was not damaged by a major earthquake.
