Acting SOCAR president Rovshan Najaf said so at the final session of the energy week in Shusha, Report says.

According to him, Azerbaijan was the first in the region to develop traditional energy resources, and now the company can be the first in the development of unconventional renewable energy sources.

"Nevertheless, in the transition period, in mid-term and short-term perspective traditional types of resources should not be forgotten because they will still be in demand. SOCAR is an important player in the energy market of the region," he said.
