Russia eyes to introduce quota for foreign schoolchildren in classes
The head of the "Just Russia - For Truth" party, Sergey Mironov, proposed to the Minister of Education, Sergey Kravtsov, to limit the number of foreign children to 10 per cent in each class.
Mironov reminded that children who speak Russian as their native language and those who speak it as a foreign language are currently being taught in schools, TASS reports.
"The presence of students who speak Russian poorly in general education classes creates a special pedagogical situation," the party leader emphasized.
According to him, to solve the problem, special specialists-pedagogues, teachers of the Russian language as a foreign language are required.
Mironov drew attention to the need to reduce to a minimum the number of children with insufficient knowledge of the language - up to 10 per cent of the total number of students. Also, the political association took the initiative to open commercial courses for additional Russian studies.
