Russia loses OPCW executive council seat

Russia has lost its seat on the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

As TASS reports, this is stated in the results of the vote, which was held at the 28th Conference of the member countries of the organization.

Russia received 65 votes, while the required minimum is 66 votes.

It is also indicated that Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine received seats on the OPCW Executive Council from the Eastern European Group.
