Russia reports downing 17 Ukrainian drones overnight, including near Moscow
Russian air defence forces of the Ministry of Defence shot down three Ukrainian drones approaching Moscow overnight from October 27 to 28, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said on the MAX messenger.
Sobyanin first reported the downing of two drones at 22:26, followed by another at 05:44. There have been no reports of casualties or damage resulting from the overnight attacks by Ukrainian forces on the Russian capital.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced that air defence units destroyed a total of 17 Ukrainian drones overnight over the Kaluga, Bryansk, and Moscow regions.
“Seventeen fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed by on-duty air defence systems: 13 over the territory of the Kaluga region, three over the Bryansk region, and one over the Moscow region,” the ministry said in a statement.
