Russian military satellites reach orbit aboard Soyuz-2.1b VIDEO
The medium-class Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle has successfully carried military satellites into their designated orbit, with all stages of the mission proceeding as planned, Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed.
Following liftoff, the rocket was placed under continuous monitoring by the ground-based automated control system of the Main Test Space Center named after German Titov.
At the scheduled time, the spacecraft were precisely inserted into their target orbit and subsequently taken under operational control by the ground facilities of the Aerospace Forces’ Space Troops. The Ministry reported that stable telemetry communication has been established and is being reliably maintained, while all onboard systems are functioning within normal parameters.
The United Engine Corporation stated that in 2025, ODK-Kuznetsov rocket engines were used in 13 launches of Soyuz-2 family carrier rockets.
