Severe traffic accident leaves five dead in Azerbaijan’s Baku PHOTO

Fatal road accident has occurred in Azerbaijan’s Baku city.

Senior inspector of the Baku City Department of the State Traffic Police Araz Asgarli said that "Toyota Prius" and "Mercedes" cars collided on Heydar Aliyev Avenue near the Shafa stadium, according to APA.

Proceeding from the preliminary investigation, the incident occurred because a driver of the Mercedes car violated the maneuvering rules.

While moving at high speed in the direction of the Koroglu metro station, the car crashed into a road curb and stopped in the middle of the road. A Toyota Prius driving behind crashed into a Mercedes.

Five people died as a result of the accident, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry told Report.
