SOCAR, TotalEnergies hail long-term effective cooperation

President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf met with TotalEnergies Senior Vice President for Exploration and Production in Europe Jean-Luc Guiziou on December 20.

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the long-term effective cooperation between SOCAR and TotalEnergies, including the successful completion of work at the stage of the Initial Development Scheme for the Absheron gas condensate field, APA reports.

The sides discussed the work carried out between TotalEnergies and SOCAR within the Cooperation Agreement for the full-scale development of the Absheron gas condensate field, as well as within the implementation of campaigns to detect methane by using drones and measure its volumes.

The views on the possibilities of expanding cooperation in such sectors as oil and gas, green energy, decarbonisation and other issues of mutual interest were exchanged during the meeting.
