Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced the deportation of 84 foreign nationals as part of a series of migration enforcement operations conducted in recent days.
According to a statement published by the ministry on Facebook, officers of the Migration Department worked in close coordination with other units of the Interior Ministry to identify and remove individuals found to be in violation of the country’s migration regulations.
As a result of the comprehensive measures, a total of 84 citizens from a range of countries were expelled from Georgia. Those deported included nationals of Türkiye, Turkmenistan, India, China, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Kenya, Russia, Nigeria, Iraq, Cuba, Lebanon, Pakistan, South Africa and Somalia, as well as several other states.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs said the deportations were carried out by the Migration Department as part of its ongoing efforts to enforce immigration laws and ensure compliance with legal residency requirements.
