Türkiye's national aerospace company, TUSAŞ, has successfully conducted a new round of combat trials for its ANKA-III strike drone.
ANKA-III successfully released the domestically developed TOLUN munition from its internal bomb bay, striking a target from an altitude of 20,000 feet (6,100 meters) at a speed of 180 knots (333 km/h), with the news shared by SavunmaSanayiST.com on X, Caliber.Az reports.
"We continue to achieve groundbreaking results! The TOLUN, which accurately hit the target when deployed from the internal bay of the ANKA-III fuselage, has also proven its effectiveness on low-observable aerial platforms," stated ASELSAN.
The ANKA-III drone is designed to undertake a wide range of missions, including reconnaissance, surveillance, and intelligence gathering, as well as air-to-ground and air-to-air strikes. It is also capable of neutralizing enemy radar and air defence systems, providing protection for friendly forces in both air and ground operations, conducting electronic warfare, collaborating with allied units, and relaying communications.
