Turkish Baykar plans to send satellite into space

The Turkish Baykar company, one of the largest manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles in the world, plans to launch its own satellite into space in 2025.

Work on the space project has been going on for a year and a half, Baykar is anticipating the future and preparing to race for this future today, the chairman of the board of directors of the company, Seljuk Bayraktar, said in an interview with the Akşam newspaper.

Bayraktar clarified that the company is now working on low-orbit command satellites and orbital vehicles in the field of space technology. It is expected to be a satellite that will support the development of innovations for global navigation systems and special communications applications.
