Türkiye issues weather warning across 15 provinces amid heavy rainfall forecast
Turkish authorities have issued a “yellow” weather warning across 15 provinces due to expected heavy downpours and thunderstorms, as meteorological conditions deteriorate across parts of the country.
According to the Turkish General Directorate of Meteorology, localised heavy rainfall is forecast in inland areas of the Aegean and Mediterranean regions, as well as in the southern parts of Central Anatolia, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
The warning covers provinces including Adana, Antalya, Mersin, Konya, Muğla, and Osmaniye, among others.
Forecasters have also warned of strong winds reaching speeds of 40–60 km/h in the Marmara region, along the northern Aegean coast, and in parts of Eastern Anatolia.
In addition, temperatures are expected to drop across northern, western, and central regions, falling below seasonal averages as the weather system moves through the country.
