Türkiye’s Baykar signs record contract with Saudi Arabia
Türkiye’s Baykar defence company signed a record $3.1 billion contract with the Saudi Arabian Defence Ministry to supply the AKINCI unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in 2023.
The company will supply a total of 60 AKINCI UAVs to Saudi Arabia in 2025-2026. The contract also includes the creation of a production line in Saudi Arabia, Caliber.Az reports citing the message of SavunmaSanayiST.com on X.
The contract also includes the production of ammunition in Saudi Arabia for using in AKINCI UAVs. In this regard, various contracts were signed between the Saudi Arabian authorities and ASELSAN, Roketsan.
