US increases military presence in Indian Ocean PHOTO / VIDEO
The United States continues to deploy additional forces to Diego Garcia, a military base in the Indian Ocean located 3,500 kilometers from Iran and Yemen.
Satellite images of the base have captured five B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
The movement of the bombers was also confirmed through radio communications between the B-2 aircraft and ground stations in San Francisco and the Australian air traffic control service. Currently, 20 B-2 bombers are stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base, meaning that more than 30% of the fleet is now deployed on Diego Garcia.
Additionally, satellite images indicate that over the past two days, a large number of C-130 military transport aircraft and KC-135 aerial refueling tankers have been transferred to Diego Garcia.
