Uzbeks, Indians involved in mass brawl at Russian poultry farm
Investigators have opened a criminal case under Article 213 of the Russian Criminal Code (“Hooliganism”) following a mass brawl at a poultry farm in Saint Petersburg.
The criminal case was initiated over hooliganism in connection with the mass fight at the poultry farm, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The initial cause of the clash between migrant workers from India and Uzbekistan at the facility in Saint Petersburg was reportedly a language barrier and differing values. Around 100 people from each side took part in the mass confrontation. Participants reportedly used sticks, hammers and even axes during the fighting.
About 20 people were injured, six of them seriously. The violence was brought under control by OMON riot police and the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya).
