Western Azerbaijan Community rep taking part in World Forum on Democracy 2023

Deputy Chairman of the Youth Union of the Western Azerbaijan Community Kamal Jafarov is taking part in the World Forum on Democracy, which is being held in Strasbourg on November 6-8, organised by the Council of Europe.

While delivering a speech at the event, Jafarov said that the Armenian government is preventing the return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia, the Western Azerbaijan Community told Caliber.Az.

He said that Armenia's policy of discrimination on ethnic and religious grounds shows that Armenia is far from democracy, and such a policy does not contribute to the establishment of lasting peace in the region.

The World Forum on Democracy has been held annually since 2012 with representatives of countries and civil society and serves to exchange views on building a democratic society.
