Moscow: Kyiv’s pos-referedum attempts in “DPR, LPR” to be attacks on Russia

The Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has said that if a decision is made at local referendums to incorporate "DPR" (Donetsk Peoples Republic), "LPR" (Luhansk People’s Republic), Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions with the Russian Federation, Ukraine's attempts to regain control over these areas will be regarded as an attack on Russia.

“Of course, the Constitution of the Russian Federation will immediately be directed to these territories,” Peskov said during a briefing, Gazeta.Ru reports.

In the self-proclaimed "DPR", and "LPR", as well as Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions, referendums regarding the secession of these regions from Ukraine and merging with Russia as subjects, started on September 23.

Voting will last until September 27.
