Azerbaijani Space Agency’s income down by 44%
Azerbaijan's Space Agency (Azercosmos) under the Digital Development and Transport Ministry exported satellite telecommunications and optical satellite services worth $21.7 million to 40 countries from January through October 2022.
This is by one country and 44.4 per cent less than in the same period last year. Export earnings of Azercosmos accounted for 81 per cent of its total income, Report informs citing the November issue of the Export Review, presented by the Azerbaijani Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
Among the top five countries in exports for 10 months are the UK ($5.5 million), France ($4.6 million), Luxembourg ($3.6 million), UAE ($1.9 million) and Pakistan ($1.2 million).
Azercosmos exported services to 36 countries worth $2.4 million last month. This is by three countries more and 64.2 per cent less than in October 2021.
